Import into Europe

If you have a horse arriving into Europe we can gladly help you with all formalities and transport to its final location.

A horse must always travel, when coming into Europe, with an endorsed and correctly completed health certificate.

Upon landing this will be checked by the local ministry of agriculture and by customs.

When green light has been given and we have been able to clear customs we can proceed to bring home your new best friend!

Keep in mind that there are several means of importing a horse:

  • Permanent importation
  • Temporary importation (for shows or training)
  • Re-importation (after temporary been exported)
  • Household move
  • Importation based on ATA Carnet (for frequent flyers)

These procedures can even vary from each EU member state.
